Automatic Enrollment Report
This version of the Non-participant report explains the benefits that could accrue if the participant does not opt out. Rather than sending out the standard notice that says how much is going to be deducted if they don’t opt out, this reports gives participants reasons for not only staying in the plan, but increasing contributions if needed. It illustrates any under-funding that could remain and provides solutions for attaining the next goal. This creates an “opt-in” situation which is more to the liking of most sponsors. This sample is for a 46 year old who will be left under-funded by the default options and shows that the funding gap can be successfully closed.
